NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Public Accuracy Test for the March 10, 2020 Presidential Primary Election has been scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Franklin Township Hall, 3922 Monroe Road, Tipton.
The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that the program and tabulator that will be used to tabulate the ballots of the election have been prepared in accordance with law.

SATURDAY HOURS BEFORE ELECTION
THE TOWNSHIP CLERK WILL BE AVAILABLE SATURDAY, MARCH 6TH FROM 8:30 TO 4:30 AT THE TOWNSHIP HALL IN ORDER TO ISSUE ABSENT VOTER APPLICATIONS, ABSENT VOTER BALLOTS, AND REGISTER NEW VOTERS FOR THE MARCH 10TH ELECTION. NEW VOTERS WILL NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY ON THAT DAY.
DAY BEFORE THE ELECTION
THE CLERK WILL BE AVAILABLE MONDAY, MARCH 9TH FROM 9:00 TO 4:00 AT THE TOWNSHIP HALL IN ORDER TO REGISTER NEW VOTERS AND ISSUE ABSENT VOTER BALLOTS. BALLOTS ON THAT DAY MUST BE VOTED IN PERSON AT THE CLERK'S OFFICE. NEW VOTERS WILL NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY ON THAT DAY.

The Franklin Township March Board of Review will meet at the Township Hall, located at 3922 Monroe Road, Tipton, MI 49287 on the following dates:
Organizational Meeting (No appeals heard at this meeting)
The Board of Review will review and inspect the assessment roll prior to the public hearing on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 between 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Public appeals will be heard by appointment on the following dates:
Wednesday, March 11, 2020 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 12, 2020 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
If you wish to make an appointment to appeal to the Board of Review, please call the Township Assessor Max Griffin at 1-586-467-0477 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. beginning on February 28, 2020.
Residents and Non-residents that are unable to appear in person may appeal by letter addressed to the Board of Review, providing that it is received at the Township office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Property owners who have questions on the assessment and/or appeal process may request an informal meeting with the Assessor. Please call for more information 1-586-467-0477.

MARCH 12-20, 2020 HOUSEHOLDS WILL RECEIVE AN INVITATION TO RESPOND EITHER ONLINE OR BY PAPER QUESTIONNAIRE FOR THE 2020 CENSUS. HOUSEHOLDS THAT DO NOT RESPOND WILL BE FOLLOWED-UP IN PERSON. AN ACCURATE COUNT IS THE GOAL OF EVERY CENSUS. THE RESULTS OF THE CENSUS CAN HAVE A REAL IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY FOR FUTURE PLANNING AND HOW FUNDS ARE DISTRIBUTED.
